STILL CREEK
Still creek originates above Taponga River in teh Big River State Forest. There is a short section starting from the Big River Rd which is easily accessible, and is about a 2.5 to 3km long run of mainly grade 2. There are some problems with trees and log jams, but these are seen ahead of time and you can get out and portage over or around. The section has a couple of nice grade 2 ledge style drops and also a hidden surprise in the form of a weir drop about halfway down. The weir is about 1.5m high and can be run if there are no logs below. You can take out where the creek meets the Taponga or continue down to the Big River confluence and Big River Bridge.
