HARRIS LANE TO OVENS CONFLUENCE

The put in at Harris Lane ( off the Buckland Valley way, is quite easy at the Bridge. The run starts with some moving water but right around the corner is the best rapid on the section. This is a waterfall style drop particularly at lower water, and more of a playhole and larger grade 3 drop in higher water. This rapid is the local swimming hole and are to jump off the cliffs that skirt the rapid.

Following on down stream, there are numerous grade 2 rapids, and one larger 2+ which is more of a drop with ledges across the river. the Grade 2 and gravel races continue until the River meets the Ovens River. You can get out here or at a bridge higher up before you meet the confluence.
