Experience some of the closest whitewater Melbourne has to offer. We offer 2 hr kayaking experiences close to Melbourne in double kayaks, "drive-yourself". The guided tour takes in some of Victorias best scenery close to Melbourne while offering a taste of whitewater adreneline rush.
All tours start with a short technique session, where you will learn to get in and out of the kayak or canoe, as well as the basic skills such as the forward stroke and the skills needed to turn and stop the boat. Tours are conducted in recreational kayaks or canoes. These boats are very stable and have an open cockpit so that there is no need to learn a capsize drill. Once the basic skills are learned, we move on to a short river trip of 45-60 minutes.
Take our double kayaks from Jumping Creek reserve down to Warrandyte Bridge and experience the exhilaration of running the rivers rapids on the way. This stretch of river is an easy grade 1-11 and is loads of fun with your tour guide.
