DELTITE RIVER - MIDDLE AND LOWER SECTIONS

The middle section of the delatite features a great looking gorge/ cliff section. Huge numbers of surf waves and holes, and some larger features and holes ( black Duck HOle) towards the end of the run. The entire section is only about 2km long and access is at the river access along the Mansfield - Mt Buller Rd. The take out is easy to spot at the picinc area at the Merijig Bridge.

The lower run on the Delatite is only about 15min from Mansfield and has great access. Put in along the Chapel Hill Rd, and paddle approx. 5-6km fown to O'herns Rd. This Section is a grade 2- 3 with numerous play waves and holes, and some great drops on the granite rock outcrops along the way. Somewhere around the middle of this section there is 2.5m - 3m weir drop which is quite straight forward and lots of fun. The best play waves are within 1km of the finish, so you can easily spend time here and still make the finish in plenty of time to get home.
