DUKE OF ED – 3-5 day WATER BASED JOURNEY
Canoes Plus Kayak School can facilitate or run journey based programs with a view to teaching participants more involved Whitewater skills, and working towards leadership and self-sufficiency.
= 3-4 day Mitchell river trip in the wilderness. This journey includes wilderness camp ground with no facilities, on the side of the river. The Mitchell is in a National Park, and boasts grade 3 rapids. This journey can be paired with hiking along the Mitchell River trail.

All Duke of Ed camps and Journeys are tailored to suit. Group sizes from 6-18 are ideal, but larger groups can be facilitated. Journeys will include basic skills; capsize drill and basic boat handling. Journey can be undertaken in Raft, inflatable kayak or plastic kayak depending on skill and water level. Schools will provide camping and kitchen gear, as well as off water clothing. CPKS will provide boats and gear, including but not limited to lifejacket and helmet.
